Dave Olson started taking pictures at age 16 shooting photos at a local motor sports speedway. He became the youngest track photographer in Wisconsin at age 17, and was accepted as a staff photographer at Midwest Racing news on his 18th birthday. In the years to come Dave would became a contributing photographer for The Checkered Flag Racing News, Open Wheel Magazine, & Flat Out Magazine. His photography would be used commercially by ad agencies and corporations including Good Year Tire, Jimmy Johns, Polaris, Ford Motor Company and Amzoil. Over the years Dave has traveled the country and photographed major Motor sports events including The Daytona 500, Indianapolis 500, Phoenix Copper World Classic, California’s Pacific Coast Nationals. Throughout his career racers who were customers and friends include Danica Patrick, Jeff Gordon & Tony Stewart. Dave pioneered the first mobile lab he would take to events where he would photograph, develop film, and print images where he could sell them the same day on location providing unprecedented product and customer service. 37 years as a motor sports photographer has given him a lifetime of experience and technique unmatched in his field.
In 2012 Dave opened Studio 360 Photography and Fine Art Images in Pewaukee, WI. His passion and enthusiasm for his work has put his studio on the map and in just 2 1/2 years Studio 360 has grown into one of South Eastern Wisconsin’s fastest growing Studio’s. IN 2014 he was Voted in the Top 10 for Area’s Best of Wedding Photographers and was awarded the 2014 Pewaukee Chamber Business of the Year. Using techniques learned from years on the road, an unrelenting work ethic, and a passion that comes from within Dave continues on a lifelong journey as a professional photographer.
